I’m sure, by now you don’t need me to tell you what Wednesday Wisdom is all about, but if you’re new to the party, please find out by clicking the link here.
We’ve got some great content to share with you this week, so go grab a coffee and settle to down to read (listen and watch) some awesome content.
Inspiration
Last week I heard Pat Flyn’s Smart Passive Income Podcast interview with Michael Dunlop the 21 year old internet marketeer and designer of the popular blog plugin (as used on this site), PopupDomination . Whilst I thought this was really interesting, and definitely worth a listen, this isn’t what inspired me the most this week. What inspired me and really made me think about things was a video post by Steve Thomas on Chris Ducker’s Virtual Business Lifestyle . The reason it inspired me is that I think the internet is awash with stories of young folk who are making 6 figure incomes (good for them) but I know that a large number of readers are in their 30′s and 40′s. Just because you’re older, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be earning a passive income. Great ideas, and good for you Steve.
In Pat’s interview with Michael, Michael said a very interesting point: “When you’re young, you don’t need as much money as you haven’t got a mortgage or family to support, so it’s much easier to put the money you make back into the business”. That’s very true. So it was quite interesting to hear Tyrone Shum’s Interview with James Schramko who left his $200k a year job at Mercedes to run his internet marketing business.
So maybe some stuff to inspire some of our older and high earning readers?
I’m going to keep today’s Wisdom short, because listening to those podcasts will take up some time, but I just wanted to share with you two related posts by Ben Lumley over at 6 Aliens.
Achieving your goals
In the first excellent article, Ben talks about the best way to achieve your goals where he talks about the concept of stepping stones and list 5 ways to use them and make them work for you. His second post talks about 4 must do steps when your goals aren’t working.
Go check them out. So, what do you think? What have you come across this week that has helped you grow your business?

Hey Matthew
Thank you soo much for 2 mentions! I’m truly honoured
