Come on England!

Tonight, the mighty England team, led by stand in captain Steven Gerrard, will commence their quest to win the World cup in South Africa.

Every 4 years the nation goes football mad in support of the national team.

Supermarkets do record sales in alcohol, pizzas and party food. The nation is united behind one common aim. Even the Prime Minister will fly the flag of St. George above No. 10 Downing Street during the tournament.

Just imagine if you could mobilise enough people behind your business?

Come on England!

Oh Matthew, not you too. Every where I go, the world has gone football crazy ;) I am the World Cup’s antithesis, proving it on Monday ;) , and you’ve just earned yourself a mention.

Seriously though, enjoy the match :)

Looks like you were proved right John!

    John Soares Reply:

Sheesh. I was kidding about the tie thing.

I don’t follow football (soccer) to any extent, but I did hear on National Public Radio that the United States would be doing very well to get a tie.

Something tells me England will do better than the States when it’s all done.

It’s a pity you didn’t have money on it John, maybe you have a ‘gift’ of predicting sports results. Now then, what’s your tips for the Superbowl 2011?
