I think hard work, smart work and needed work. That is work on something that has value for people who will hopefully pay for your service or product.

Gordie, thanks for commenting, you’re absolutely right. Although if I was prioritising your list, I’d put needed work, then smart work at the top of the list. If work’s not needed then there is no point doing it.

I think you have to know how to work money for money to work for you. It comes down to how you treat your dollars and what you do with them that will get you the best return for your investment.

Be stupid and spend your dollars on useless crap and that’s exactly what you’ll get back.

Learn how to spend your money wisely on things that will bring great benefit to your life and you’ll see rewards 100 times what you’d expect.

It’s all about how you handle your money that determines how your money handles you.

Eric, thanks for sharing these insights. The other important thing is that you get into the habit of saving regularly – even small amounts saved frequently (monthly) can make enormous difference over time.

Your last point is spot on. Control your money before it controls you.
